It’s tax season, and Community Concepts Finance Corporation is here to help!

Christian Ricci and Marjorie Millett recently joined us for an episode of Community… What a Concept to share about CCFC’s partnership with L/A CA$H Coalition and the free tax preparation services being offered in Lewiston/Auburn.

L/A CA$H is looking for volunteers to provide tax preparation services for eligible residents through the end of tax season. If you’re looking for an opportunity to help your neighbors or know someone who is, L/A CA$H would love to hear from you. Visit their website to learn more and to sign up!

To file your taxes, you can schedule your appointment now for Scan & Go service. Trained, IRS-certified volunteers will meet with you one-on-one to get your tax paperwork and ID information scanned and saved. Once your tax return is prepared, they’ll then schedule a follow-up appointment (by phone or in-person) to review your completed tax return. Once reviewed and approved, they will then e-file for you.

Tax prep services are free to all those who qualify!

You can also securely send a photo or scan of your documents to the preparers online through GetYourRefund. A volunteer will contact you to get the process started and then will prepare and double-check your tax return to make sure it is correct before filing.
